Dr. Kimberly Orr is a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented optometrist who is passionate about helping patients achieve clearer vision and enhanced quality of life. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from NC State University in 2010 with a degree in biological sciences, along with minors in Spanish and nutrition science. Dr. Orr earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2014, graduating with Cum Laude honors. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honour society and was involved in organizations such as the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.
Dr. Orr has a particular interest in myopia control for adolescent patients and enjoys working with multifocal contact lenses. She finds it especially fulfilling to introduce patients to the world of contact lenses for the first time, witnessing the joy they experience when they no longer need glasses. Her expertise also extends to primary care optometry, and she is dedicated to helping patients navigate their day-to-day activities with greater ease and clearer vision.
Dr. Orr is actively involved in her professional community as a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the North Carolina Optometric Society (NCOS), and the Triad Optometric Society. She serves as the NCOS Professional Education Trustee and is a former Third Party Trustee for NCOS. She was also selected as a 2024 Change Agent for the Myopia Collective and graduated from the AOA Leadership Institute in 2022.
